Teresa Ribera is a Spanish political scientist and climate policy expert who has become a prominent figure in the field of sustainable development. With a career that spans over two decades, Ribera has been a consistent voice for change and has helped shape the global conversation on climate change and environmental sustainability.
Born in Madrid, Spain in 1969, Ribera obtained her PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She went on to work for the Spanish Ministry of Environment before joining the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in 1999.
